Why your PDF is too large for an upload form
Reviewed 22 October 2026. Instructions describe the ToolPeb 4.2 build.
Check the upload allowance
Read the destination’s size limit and compare it with your file. MB normally means one million bytes. MiB means 1,048,576 bytes, so the same file can show different numbers in different applications.
Remove pages you do not need
A shorter document may be easier to share. Use Extract PDF Pages to save only the required range. Check that the destination accepts a partial document.
Choose the compression method carefully
PDF Compressor & Optimiser rewrites supported readable PDFs and keeps text and vector content where supported. Compress PDF renders pages as pictures. Rasterising can reduce a picture-heavy file, but removes selectable text and can reduce detail.
Check the result before submitting
Open the saved copy and check small text, images and page count. Compression may make a small PDF larger. No fixed target size or loss-free result is guaranteed. Keep the original and use a smaller render scale only when the result stays readable.
